Vulcan Park Animal Care provides on-site diagnostic testing, usually with same day results, to determine your pet’s overall health condition. We offer these services to pet owners in Homewood, Mountain Brook, Vestavia, Hoover, and Birmingham, Alabama.

Diagnostic tests that we routinely perform include CBCs, full chemistry panels, heartworm testing, urinalysis, and fecals. In addition to lab tests, we also utilize diagnostic tools such as digital radiography to give us a complete picture of your pet’s health status.

Results from diagnostic testing can detect infection and anemia, determine electrolyte status and hydration levels, evaluate kidney, liver, and pancreas function, screen for thyroid disease, check blood sugar levels, and more. The quick turnaround time of our in-house lab means that our knowledgeable veterinarians can give you a diagnosis and start treatment in the same day.
